On Wednesday, March 9th students from NAIT News Watch came over to the McCauley club to get a better understanding and see for themselves how our clubs operate.  They were particularly keen on learning about our "Cool Moves" program, which focuses on three key aspects:  eating smart, playing cool and passing it on.  Carl Barton, the McCauley club coordinator says "it's really exciting and encouraging to see students getting involved with our clubs.  They were very interested in our meal program. They wanted to know what we feed our kids and what sort of activities they play to stay active.”  He also went onto say, "What I'm most excited about is that they expressed a genuine desire to become more active in our clubs, for instance they were really interested in getting to know more about our “Little Green Thumbs” project which focuses on teaching our kids how to grow their own food.  They also interviewed two of our star kids, Madison and Justice."  The interviews will be airing on Saturday, March 12th on the Access Channel (Channel 9) from 6pm and then again at 9 pm.  If you miss the show, not to worry you can still view it online in NAIT's archives at www.naitnewswatch.ca.
