The Community Outreach Services consists of a team of six Community Support Workers who compliment the work of the club staff. Located in each club throughout the city, with the exception of Club Connect, this unit provides the much needed attention to the social issues within the club setting.
The Community Support Workers are very successful in providing support and resources to the children and youth in the clubs by offering ethical and non-judgmental services and programming.
The Community Support Workers work with the family unit as well, through the provision of advocacy, crisis intervention, parental support and conflict resolution. The team works within the community in a variety of partnerships, community enhancement activities and initiatives which impact positive community development. Community Outreach Services also provides training to club staff on behavioral issues and professional development.
