We may not be able to provide the crystal clear waters off the coast of Nova Scotia, or the rugged ocean cliffs of Newfoundland, but we will certainly provide the warm hospitality, lively entertainment and great food you would expect to find at any east coast Lobster Fete.
On November 12, 2010, Boys & Girls Clubs of Edmonton will turn The Palace Banquet Hall into a Lobster lovers dream, and you are invited.
With lobster flown in from the east coast, traditional music by local sensation Distant Horizon and emceed by Alberta’s own Jefferson Humphreys, co- host of Alberta Primetime – all your senses are sure to be satisfied.
At the same time, you will be supporting the children and youth of Edmonton. “Lobster Lovers brings together the true heroes of our organization to celebrate the vital work Boys & Girls Clubs of Edmonton does in the community year in and year out. We are only as strong as the community that supports us,” says Gord Edmiston, Board Chair. “Our goal this year is to raise $60,000. Tickets are $150 each and we’ve got some great items up for auction like flights, resort stays and group food tastings just to name a few. We’d also like to thank all our sponsors, in particular The Flaman Group of Companies, for their generous support.
“Together, you make this event a success. Your generosity helps us achieve our mission of providing a safe, supportive place where children and youth experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop self-confidence and skills for life.”
